We work with Japanese government organisations and cultural groups to promote language and cultural exchanges, through social and networking events. We welcome alumni and non-alumni alike!

Join JETAA NSW for our monthly hump day hangout event!
Join us for this month’s Hump Day Hangout at the State Library of NSW! 2026 marks 200 years of continuous library service, and the State Library is hosting a set of new exhibitions showcasing the unique items in its collection and the people who helped shape its history.
We'll meet on the steps of the Mitchell Library at 6:00pm, then wander through the collection galleries, and head on up to The Library Bar at 6:45pm to enjoy the city's nightscape over a few bevvies.
Whether you come for the exhibitions, the drinks, or both, it’s a nice way to break up the week, soak in some culture and spend an evening with the JETAA NSW community.
📍 Venue: State Library of NSW
🗺️ Address: 1 Shakespeare Place (Meet in front of the original sandstone building!)
⏰ Time: 6:00pm for exploring the 200-year exhibitions 6:45pm for drinks at The Library Bar (entry via Hospital Road)
❗ Note: The Library Bar has a limited selection of light snacks/nibbles on offer, so make sure to grab a proper meal before or after!
